Who came up with Wisdomania?

Picture
Wisdomania has been founded by the husband and wife team of Ms. Madhu Sree Maya Babu and Dr. Ajit N. Babu. Madhu was a graduate of St. Teresa’s College in Cochin and a university rank holder for her Master’s in Family Resource Management.  She later was the first UGC Junior Research Scholarship holder from the Department of Home Science at St. Teresa’s. She then joined for a PhD in Women’s studies at Baroda University, but marriage (and a move to the United States) supervened. Her years in the U.S. and exposure to the wide range of foods and ethnicities there honed her skills in cooking and baking. Madhu's ever enlarging collection of international and regional cookbooks reflect her passion for culinaria and international cuisines.

Ajit has been an educator for over 20 years, and is currently a medical professor with appointments in the U.S. and as visiting faculty at the Achutha Menon Centre, Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Sciences, Thiruvananthapuram.  He was also Professor of Medicine and founder director of the Centre for Digital Health at the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Cochin. While most of his teaching has revolved around the medical sciences and public health,  he has also taught on aspects of self development, critical thinking and resourceful teaching both in India and in the U.S. In an effort to bring more effective planning to public health, Ajit has recently started an NGO in Cochin – the Center for Advancement of Global Health (CAGH). More details about Ajit can be found on the CAGH website:

In his spare time, he is the lead vocalist for the band Jus' Jamm based in Cochin which plays classic english rock, pop, country, blues and jazz. Jus' Jamm was recently featured in Indian Express, Hindu and Times of India - see the links below!
